MITONY knits every sweater to order, so our sizes run from XS to 5XL and you can adjust body length, sleeve length, chest and other measurements before we knit. That makes it a practical choice for tall men, big and tall builds, and plus size or petite women who rarely find a cashmere sweater that fits off the rack.
Sweaters for tall men and big and tall sizes
Ready-made sweaters are usually cut for an average height, so tall guys end up with sleeves that stop short of the wrist and a hem that rides up. Because each piece is made for you, you can keep the chest size you normally wear and lengthen the body and sleeves — no need to hunt for an XLT or 2XLT tall size.
Our men’s standard sizes reach 5XL, with a chest width of 62 cm, a body length of 81 cm and a sleeve length of 71 cm (crew neck), and every measurement has a ±2 cm tolerance. That covers most big and tall sizes across all nine styles.

Plus size and petite cashmere for women
Women’s sizes also run from XS to 5XL. At 5XL a women’s crew neck has a chest width of 71 cm, so plus size cashmere sweaters and cardigans are part of the standard range rather than a special order. If you are petite, start from XS or S and shorten the body or sleeves; if you are tall, lengthen them.

How custom measurements work
In the Create My Sweater configurator, choose your style, yarn, colour and standard size, then enter the measurements you want. Each measurement is matched to the size band that fits it, and the piece is priced at the largest band any of your measurements reaches. For example, a medium chest with an extra-long body is knitted to your measurements and priced at the size its body length corresponds to — you only pay for the size you actually need.
If a measurement goes beyond our 5XL range (plus the 2 cm tolerance), the configurator asks you to contact us instead, and we confirm whether it can be made and quote it individually.
To find your numbers, lay a sweater that fits you well flat and measure it in centimetres: body length from the highest shoulder point straight down to the hem, and sleeve length from the shoulder point to the wrist. Compare them with the chart above.
Yarns, colours and delivery
Every size is available in 100% cashmere (78 colours, plain or cable knit), 100% extra fine merino wool (75 colours) and a 90% Tencel / 10% mulberry silk blend (15 colours) — 194 colours in all. Prices follow the size band shown on each product page; adjusting measurements within our range adds no separate surcharge.
Each piece is knitted one at a time in our in-house atelier, which has made cashmere and wool to order for over 14 years. Production takes about 1–2 weeks after payment and express shipping another 1–2 weeks, free worldwide by DHL, FedEx or UPS. The minimum order is one piece.

Do you make cashmere sweaters for tall men?
Yes. Choose the chest size you normally wear and lengthen the body and sleeves in the configurator. Men’s standard sizes go up to an 81 cm body length and 71 cm sleeve length at 5XL (crew neck), with ±2 cm tolerance; longer measurements can be quoted individually.
What is the largest size you make?
Our standard range goes up to 5XL for both men and women. A men’s 5XL crew neck has a 62 cm chest width; a women’s 5XL has a 71 cm chest width. Measurements beyond 5XL plus the 2 cm tolerance can be requested through “Talk to Us” and are quoted individually.
Can I order a plus size cashmere cardigan?
Yes. All nine styles, including the V-neck button cardigan, the polo collar cardigan and the mock neck zip cardigan, come in sizes XS to 5XL, in cashmere, extra fine merino or Tencel silk. You can also adjust the body length to make a cardigan longer or shorter.
Do you have petite sizes?
Yes. Start from XS or S and shorten the body length and sleeve length in the configurator. A women’s XS crew neck has a 61 cm body length and 61 cm sleeve length; measurements below the XS range minus 2 cm can be quoted individually.
Can I return a sweater made to my measurements?
Pieces knitted to your own measurements cannot be returned for a change of mind, but they are covered by our quality guarantee and a tolerance of about ±1–2 cm per measurement. If a piece does not fit despite being made to your submitted measurements, contact us and we will look for a solution such as an adjustment or a discounted remake.
