Production

Up to 100 pieces a day. Made-to-order pieces ship 2–3 weeks after confirmation.

Quality control

Each piece is checked at 14 points of measure against the agreed size chart, within ±1–2 cm (⅜–¾ in). Anything outside tolerance is reworked or remade before it ships.

Testing & audits

BSCI and Sedex audited. Cashmere yarn tested by SGS; finished sweaters passed a 2025 official spot check by the Suzhou Fibre Inspection Institute. Reports available to partners on request.

Questions agents ask first.

Is the territory exclusive?

Territory and exclusivity are agreed case by case. We discuss them after we have signed an NDA.

Do I need to buy stock?

No. Every piece is made to order from 1 piece and shipped duties paid to your client or to you.

Is there a minimum target?

Any first-order or annual targets are part of the partner terms, which we share after signing an NDA.

Which markets do you ship to?

We ship duties paid (DDP) by FedEx or UPS to the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia and Mexico. Applications from other markets are welcome.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. We sign an NDA with every agent and distributor before we share partner terms.

What can my clients order?

9 styles for women and men in 194 stock colours and 4 yarns, made to measure or in sizes XS–5XL. Brands can add their own labels, or have their own designs knitted from 1 piece.

Why are prices on mitony.com higher than partner prices?

mitony.com shows retail prices for private clients. Agents and distributors work from factory prices on a tiered price list, which leaves room for your margin and your clients'.

Can I see the product before I apply?

Yes. Visit our Suzhou showroom by appointment, or ask for a free colour book when you apply.

What if a client's piece is wrong?

If the yarn, pattern or knitting is wrong, or a measurement falls outside the agreed tolerance, we remake the piece free of charge or refund it in full. Before dispatch we can send photos of the finished piece laid flat beside a tape measure.
